Grace and Grit Collective
Faith on the trail. Fellowship in the wild.
Come Walk With Us
Grace and Grit Collective is a hiking ministry of Calvary Baptist Church of Fulton. We believe some of the best conversations about God happen not in a pew, but on a path — with dirt underfoot, a friend beside you, and open sky overhead.
Whether you're chasing a challenge or just want a slow walk and good company, there's a place for you here.
What We're About
We gather twice a week to hike trails within about 25 minutes of Fulton, keeping a conversational pace with room for prayer stops and short devotionals along the way. No experience necessary — just a willingness to show up.
Grace — because none of us hike this life alone or unaided.
Grit — because faith, like a good trail, asks something of you.
Join a Hike
Tuesday Evenings — Main Fellowship Hike
Our flagship hike of the week. We split into beginner, regular, and challenge groups so everyone hikes at a pace that fits them. Trails rotate on a four-week cycle, so there's always something new to explore.
Saturday Mornings — Family & Beginner Walk
Easy pace, every time. Strollers, kiddos, grandparents, and first-timers are all welcome. This is prayer-pace hiking — no one gets left behind.
Meet at 922 W. First St. South, Fulton, unless otherwise noted for a specific trail.
Where We Hike
Our rotation includes some of the best trails and natural spaces in the region:
Great Bear Recreational Trails
Oswego River Pathfinder Trail
Palermo Town Park
Rice Creek Field Station
Fallbrook Recreation Center
Battle Island State Park
Lake Neatahwanta
Breitbeck Park
Oswego County Recreation Trail
We also plan periodic special outings to farther destinations like Sterling Nature Center and Derby Hill Bird Observatory — worth the extra drive.
What to Bring:
Sturdy shoes
Water
A heart ready for good conversation
That's it. We'll handle the rest.
